The stalk is as important as the sprint; full sprints last about 20 seconds. These cats kill their prey by suffocation it by clamping the animal's windpipe. These animals have clean eating habits, they never eat carrion.

These wild cats are predators; they eat small animals. Unlike most of cats these animals are diurnal and hunt in early morning and late afternoon. They have an excellent vision and while other big cats chase only a few hundred meters: these felines chase 3.4 miles.
